January 2010. Developed in 3 parts, project NO LIMIT TRIPLE QUEST is articulated around 3 world records: No Limit Tandem, No Limit Traditional and No Limit (Absolute).

Project NL Triple Quest is not about depth, conquer, title or performance. Therefore, we shouldn't expect to find here glorious tales of a man, of a mutant capable of incredible deeds. The project will rather highlight the adventure and focus on the out-of-the-box thinking concept, the emotional performance, human potential and social interactions. Following this project we should be prepared and accept to open our mind to new possibilities, no matter how far fetched.

What motivates Patrick in his quests?

This project is the outcome of years of introspection and self-debriefing.

After touching the essence of his Self by exploring new depths, Patrick Musimu acceeds now to another level of experience. He pursues his path of self-discovery by sharing feelings and emotions, interacting with people of different origin and different culture.

Project Description


A. Definitions

Tandem No limit is the unique category to see 2 athletes associated during a breath hold dive. At signal, the pilot removes the brake, which maintains the weighted machine at the surface. The apparatus called “a sled” glides then along a cable and takes both divers down. Having reached a pre-determined depth the pilot activates a mechanism which brings both divers back to the surface.


No Limit Traditional mimics the traditions of Persian pearl divers. The diver holds the weight with his bare feet, which anchors him down to the targeted depth. From there, the seamen crew has to tow him back to the surface.

No Limit (Absolute) is the deepest and most extreme breath-hold diving form of all. Using the "sled" the solo diver is dragged down to a pre-determined depth. The pilot activates then the mechanism (inflated liftbag) which brings him back to the surface.

B. The Quests

1st Quest: No Limit Tandem

On May 26th 2010, during the BUDDY DIVE Freediving Bonaire event, Patrick and his team set a new world record at a depth of 121m/396ft. The event was followed by US History Channel, Sky Sports TV and Carribean media. more info

2nd Quest: No Limit Traditional

Scheduled in September the dive will take place in Greece and will be integrated in the documentary “Waving At My Ancestors” (movie & synopsis)

3rd Quest: No Limit (Absolute)

Will see Patrick reach depth beyond 200 metres.
